Programme
There’s a standard process for the Office Programme but others vary depending on their requirements. Here’s what will happen:
There is one application form for each Graduate Programme (including each area of the office). Please choose which programme is right for you by thoroughly reading all the information on our website before applying. On making your Graduate Programme selection you’ll be asked to complete a self-assessment checklist. The self-assessment checklist is to make sure the role you are applying for is right for you, and you are right for us. On completion of this, you’ll be able to go onto the application form.
If you are applying to one of our office programmes you’ll be asked in the application form to select which department you are applying to from a drop down box. Please ensure you select carefully. If you need help deciding, why not visit our ‘Where do I fit in?’ page.
Remember, you can only apply to ONE programme a year.
Don’t worry – you don’t have to complete your on-line application in one go. If you want to, you can save it at any stage and come back to it later. In fact, you can come back to it as many times as you want before you send it to us.
For the competency-based questions, you may find it easier to type out the answers in a Word document and then cut and paste them into the on-line application form.
All the sections with an asterisk (*) next to them are compulsory, so make sure you fill them all in.
When you have submitted your on-line application form, please click submit. You’ll then receive a confirmation e-mail of your submitted form.
If you are successful you’ll be invited to an interview.
Interviews for our Office programmes are normally held at our office in Hertfordshire.
Interviews for our Store and Distribution Management programme are held by telephone. Successful interviewees will be asked to complete a one or two day work sample. The work sample is a two way process; it helps you gain a better understanding of the area you have applied to and it enables our managers to see how you work with our customers and staff.
An assessment centre is the final stage for all programmes. The day at the centre will vary according to your programme, but normally includes individual and group exercises.
We’ve tried to make this site as accessible as possible. To find out more, visit our Accessibility page.
As part of our commitment to equal opportunities, we’ll do all we can to support people with any special requirements by making it easier to view job vacancies and make applications. If you need any help completing the application form, logging in or searching for jobs, you can email us at graduate.recruitment@uk.tesco.com We encourage you to do this if you have any queries.
Applications close 31st December 2011 with the following exceptions:
