I wanted to work for a company that offered great career developing potential and where my work would impact hundreds and thousands of colleagues. It doesn't get much better than a 12 month scheme that sees you launching projects that could impact over 250,000 colleagues.
It's my role to facilitate meetings/conference calls with Directors and Store Managers across the business. I network with all areas of the business to develop clear communication tools that can be used by our colleagues in stores.
For my first project I created a pack for stores that prepared colleagues for the impact of the London Olympics. My second project saw me refresh an influential customer feedback tool. My last project was about improving quality perception in our stores. Throughout, I've worked closely with Directors and Senior Managers to help deliver this important support.
Along with practical experience, I have received constant support throughout the programme. I have attended numerous training workshops that focus on developing me as a Project Manager and a leader of the future. I'm looking forward to gaining more experience as a Project Manager and then carry out a management role. In the long-term I would like to gain international experience.
Tesco invests a lot of time and money in developing its graduate candidates into leaders of the future. The company is looking for individuals with raw talent and the ability to work well with others, whilst achieving objectives. If you want to work in a fast-paced environment, where your work touches the lives of over 250,000 people and you have numerous opportunities to develop your career, then Tesco is the place to be.
