The Distribution Management Programme is really well structured. The senior management within the depot have really supported me and I'm able to continually develop my skills through workshops, mentoring sessions and on-the-job training.
As part of my Graduate Programme I created a recruitment and training document for new Distribution Centres worldwide. The document was based on a real centre (Daventry Grocery) and is now being used for all new openings. In my first real role, I was responsible for delivering and exceeding target outputs of a given area within the depot – and managing a team to achieve these results. That's real responsibility.
This allowed me to develop my technical and leadership skills and I became a Team Manager in June 2010. I feel like a valued member of the Senior Team. There are a wide variety of exciting opportunities ahead and I'm looking forward to the challenges to come.
