Working for Tesco

Tree

You probably know we're a successful business but did you know our Corporate Responsibility commitments mean that we're a sustainable one too?

Our Culture

There are three little words that sum up the culture at Tesco:
Every Little Helps.

It’s a phrase you’ll hear a lot when you join us. Because it doesn’t just apply to the way we deal with our customers. It’s about how we treat our people, too.

So you’ll find plenty of support, encouragement and opportunities to grow. From the Board down, you’ll find people who are as enthusiastic as you are about your abilities and your potential to progress in our business. Not to mention great training and development opportunities. So you’ll have the scope to develop a rewarding career with us.

With the breadth of our business and the variety of different opportunities available, once you’ve completed the programme your future could lie in any one of our business areas. Each year we appoint approximately 3000 new managers across our business. And that, as much as anything, is what Every Little Helps is about.

Of course, you’ll have the support of all the people around you – from fellow graduates to your line manager. And the training you get will help you to adapt to any situation. But we believe you’ll get far more out of learning on the job and getting hands-on experience than studying theory.

And when we say hands-on experience, we’re not kidding. In your first year, you could be managing a piece of business worth millions, leading a team, dealing with our external suppliers, or working with Tesco Directors.

As for our people, they’re friendly, passionate about our business and always ready to help someone. Whether that’s a customer or a colleague. In fact, one of our graduates describes our people as "down to earth" which is something they didn’t expect from a large plc.

Why not meet some of our graduates.
