You'll spend time with our teams to understand their business needs and make sure we have the right products and services in place to keep things running smoothly, and to provide quality and value to colleagues across the business. Whether you're negotiating building services, or developing new carrier bags for our customers, there are lots of exciting projects to get involved with here and our experienced teams will support you all the way.
Your first week will be an introduction to Tesco, then once you've completed your store placement, you'll be in the driving seat. We'll expect you to support your manager with decisions about ranges, prices and promotions. You'll develop products and build relationships with key suppliers, negotiating great deals with them worldwide. There'll be market data to analyse, competitor activities to monitor, and promotions to launch.
You'll get the chance to work with all kinds of product ranges and there'll be a great support network from your line manager, mentor, wider team and other graduates too.
This is about developing people with the potential to be great Buyers and Heads of Buying. But you could move to other functions, or into store management, or even take on an international opportunity. If you're hard working and driven, we'll be there to support you.
