Outside of work, our colleagues live in a variety of diverse locations in the area. Alongside London, the most common among these are Welwyn Garden City, Cheshunt, Hertford and St Albans in Hertfordshire.
Whilst one of the smallest Counties in England, it certainly has a lot to offer. If getting out and about is your thing, to the north west of the county are The Chiltern Hills - which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. And around half of Hertfordshire has 'Green Belt' status, so you're never short of finding somewhere to relax. And for the more active amongst us, there's always the Hertfordshire Way, a 166 mile (265 km) circular footpath - great for walking and there are also designated cycle paths, and canals, rivers and lakes, which provide opportunities for water sports such as sailing and canoeing.
These leafy areas are complemented by a number of fine and historic towns - which manage to blend beauty and stunning architecture with all the amenities we demand in our modern world. So from Stevenage to Bishops Stortford and Elstree (yes the infamous studios are housed in Hertfordshire too) to Berkhamsted there really is a town or city to suit everyone.
