Tesco Telecoms incorporates all our telecoms sales in stores, online and in our rapidly expanding estate of Phone Shops. It also includes our home phone, broadband and internet phone services and our own mobile phone network, Tesco Mobile. Launched in 2003 as a joint venture with O2, Tesco Mobile is currently the fastest-growing mobile network provider which has over two million customers and was ranked as the number one network for customer service by Which? magazine in 2009. This year, Tesco Mobile has also been nominated as the number one mobile network provider for customer satisfaction for both Pay as you go and Pay Monthly in 2011 by J.D Power and Associates Group and also Non-Food Brand of the Year category at the Grocer Gold Awards 2011.

What will I be doing?

We offer a unique environment - the vibrancy and passion of a start-up with the expertise and security of Tesco and our mobile joint venture partner O2. It's a busy, fast-paced and exciting place to work for anyone who loves all things telecoms!

Based at our offices in Hertfordshire, Welwyn Garden City, you'll enjoy a 12-month rotational programme. This offers a true understanding of how the business operates, covering a broad spectrum of placements across our business areas:

Telecoms Phone Shops - working to develop the Phone Shop Store team's capability to deliver a great customer experience, you could be involved in a wide variety of roles including design, build, recruitment, training, performance, conformance and Active selling.

Tesco Mobile - A joint venture where you will work alongside and learn from the expertise of managers from both 02 and Tesco to deliver Mobile phone handsets, tariffs and promotions for our customers.

Telecoms Marketing - As part of this team you will gain a broad understanding of a number of elements of Marketing including local marketing, advertising, customer insight and PR.

Telecoms Operations - Here you will learn the technical knowledge and know-how of the telecommunications industry, getting to the core of our business. You'll also gain an understanding of our customer call centres to hear what our customers are saying.

Telecoms Commercial - Here you will be immersed in a number of areas of Commercial, where you could be supporting Merchandising planners with store format plans or working alongside Telecoms buyers and Network suppliers, developing your negotiation skills.

Telecoms International - Here you will have the exciting opportunity to develop businesses in exciting markets which have yet to be developed.

Packed with hands-on experience, real responsibility and high exposure projects; its ideal for someone who wants a varied introduction to Tesco before choosing the right route to specialise.
